Membership of SHOUT is open to health- and disability-based self-help/peer support groups (incorporated or unincorporated). There are 2 levels of membership offered, Full and Affiliate, to reflect the differing needs of organisations. Full members have access to the full range of services and have voting rights. Membership is by application to the SHOUT Board of Management.

Membership Fees and Services

Services available for this fee are as follows:

  • Access to shared desk space in the office
  • Complimentary use of meeting room for monthly meetings
  • Telephone answering services
  • Inclusion in SHOUT’s extensive email networks
  • Mail collection from SHOUT letterbox
  • IT support
  • Administrative support/advice/referral
  • Limited storage space

Affiliate Member services ($20 per annum):

  • Inclusion in mailing list for SHOUT News
  • Members pamphlets displayed at SHOUT
  • Inclusion on contact and referral data base/list
  • Inclusion in listing on website
  • Invitation to participate in any displays/promotions (e.g. Contact Canberra, expos)
  • Invitation to join any training workshops organised through SHOUT
  • May book/use resources on a user pays basis as per fee structure
  • Discounted use of meeting room
  • Regular emails notifying groups of current workshops, grants, & activities provided by peak bodies (e.g. ACTCOSS)
